Let’s talk about what’s working in this outfit in terms of Soft Dramatic style, balancing our yang dominance (large bones, long vertical line/perception of height) with yin undercurrents (softness, curves, fleshiness):
SDs have a t-shape, where the shoulders are broad and straight across (vs. a Romantic with very rounded or sloped shoulders.) “Puff Shoulder” tops tend to emphasize the drama of the T-shape.
SD’s are synonymous with curves. Ideal garments emphasize our curves without being restrictive. A pencil skirt is typically confining, however the gathering and stretchiness of this fabric makes it quite flattering.
The boots are on the heavy side, but it demonstrates that items don’t fit into strict body type guidelines, it’s really about the overall effect of the ensemble.
When I dress in my Soft Dramatic lines I leave the house feeling like myself, feeling fierce and put together.
