Wrap-Styles for Soft Dramatics

As a curvy, luscious Soft Dramatic body type, I look for wrap-styles in all kinds of garments - dresses, skirts, sweaters, even pants. Something about the way the garments hug and frame our curves is so delightfully flattering. I often feel restricted and uncomfortable in bodycon styles, even at my lowest weight. I’ve learned to stay away from them, for the most part.
I rented this black floral wrap dress from Rent the Runway last month. The luxe, satiny fabric of this dress adds to the Diva Chic vibe. Also note the larger, bolder flowers in the pattern vs. a dainty floral. These are the details that take an ensemble from “ok” to va-va-voom.
To further emphasize the wrapping on this satiny dress I added a wide built to pull in the waist and create a billowing effect in the surrounding fabric. Very chic. I’ve struggled with belts, until I realized that unless they are monochromatic with the outfit (i.e. black on black) they cut off one of our best assets - our long vertical line.
